Series 2 took place either about half a year or a few years after the wedding of Denise and Dave and Denise is now pregnant with Dave's baby. This series sees the relationship between Jim and Norma, Barbara has a breakdown because of Jim's laziness and is suspected to have the menopause, Antony get's a girlfriend called Emma and brings her along to his 18th birthday party and Denise gives birth on Christmas Day. Another normal year in the life of the Royle family.
